Luxe Grunge anyone?

So, lately I've came across this posts about the "luxe grunge look", it's about the MNG fashion show 2011 motif. Since I have no idea what is it, I tried to do a little research, and here's what I found out.

Luxe Grunge (also known as boho-chic or "luxe bohemian") is a chicer updated grunge-boho collection; an unkempt approach to wardrobe, popularized by celebrities such as the Olsen twins.

First motivated by Seattle's groundbreaking rock scene in the 1990s – the modern update contains all the mainstays of yesterday’s grunge (flannel, plaid, layers and leg warmers) alongside today’s sophisticated pieces, including capes, shawls and jackets ([www.theitlists.com], Sept 2006). Grunge elements featured strongly in fashion collections in Autumn 2006, including styles referred to "cocktail grunge" and "modern goth". via wikipedia

In short, 

 It is a dark mood of rock and roll! This contains all the mainstrays of yesterday's grunge incorporating fannel, plaid, layers, and leg warmers alongside today's sophisticated pieces including capes, shawls, and jackets. Mix vintage clothes with grunge.

I kinda love this look, the rock-and-roll-laid-back kind of style. Very fancy and chic! The different layers of patterns and fabrics of clothes. The boots, scarves, furrr, leather and rocker-chic accessories!

Bonjour September!

Well, it's been a month since a month already since I last posted here, due to my very hectic daily schedule. But I'm glad to be back :) Anyways, let's all kiss August goodbye, and welcome September! It's the start of the BER month already, so better get your knitted sweaters,coats,jackets, those booties, scarves or anything that keeps you warm out of your pandora box cause it's gonna be a coooold season! Except that, in the Philippines when you say cold season, it does not include any "snow" thingy. haha! The air breeze is only cool and ofcourse don't forget the bad part-- the rain. Make sure you never wear those shoes that are never made  to rainy weather, it will get damaged easily. I prefer wearing boots on rainy days, it protects my pretty feet, and I feel like I'm in another country! LOLs! So, tell ya what? I like the cold season! Why? Hmm.. Because I like seeing people wearing those fashionable sweaters, trench coats with their boots and scarves! And don't forget those cutesy beanies! Ohh, not to mention, I also love knitted sweaters with patterns:) When I'm surrounded by people with that kind of outfit, it give's me a enlightening feeling. Honestly, I don't know why. But it makes ma smile seeing people with those kind of outfits. Maybe, because I, myself looovees, and I say really love the "FALL FASHION"- as we call it in other countries with these kind of weather season :)

I love weekends! and I'm back! After those busy days, I finally got the time to blog. I have so many things in my mind. BUT, first, let me tell ya. Finally, I went ukay-shopping! Though I only bought few clothes cause my money was only limited. haha! Poor me. I went to ukay with Ate pat(my bro's GF). She was is so nice, really! I owe her! And we have this same likes when it comes to ukay. and oh! I love her vintage LV bag which her grandma gave her. Too bad I wasn't able to take a pic of it, but it was so nice! We went to different ukay stores in cubao. Our first stop over is near gateway, and we were lucky they were on sale! 50 each! Any items! I spotted this very vintage polka dot dress! Very fab and vintagey! But I have to have it repaired because it's too long, but it's really nice! I kept on thinking about it while looking at other clothes

and finally bought it!

You know, going to thrift stores makes me happy and overwhelmed seeing those vintage and unique pieces. I'd rather spend my day on thrift and vintage stores than being on malls. Seriously! I hope next week, I'll be able to go on my ukay-hunting again:) I'm planning to learn how to repair clothes:) I mean like to sew, so that I won't be having problems when the clothes I bought is too small or too big, atleast I can repair it myself and I could add embelishments on it. What do you think? :)
